Applying persimmon tannin enhances durability and insect resistance, making it long-lasting. This time, produced as an ARCH original, it features Japanese paper patched together with different shades of persimmon tannin and ink, expressing the passage and layering of time. 日本の三大うちわの一つである京うちわの別名、「都うちわ」。なかでも、千鳥の形をした柄が印象的なうちわです。 江戸時代から続く技法を受け継ぎ、竹を割き、一本一本並べて形づくっていきます。 身近な素材から生まれる、ものづくりの原点を感じさせる一品となっています。 和紙には、300年以上の歴史を持つ名尾手すき和紙を使用。植物の葉を漉き込むことで、自然の表情をそのまま映し出しています。障子にも使われている薄手の和紙は、やわらかく通る光が、素材そのものの美しさを引き立てています。あおぐだけでなく、飾ることで空間に涼やかな趣とやすらぎをもたらします。 ※店舗と在庫を共有しており、完売の場合もございます。 ※台座もセットになっております。 One of Japan's three major types of fans, the Kyoto fan, is also known as the 'Miyako fan.' Among them, the fan with a handle shaped like a plover is particularly striking. It inherits techniques that have continued since the Edo period, splitting bamboo and arranging each piece one by one to shape it. It is a piece that evokes the origins of craftsmanship, born from familiar materials. For the Japanese paper (washi), Nao hand-made washi with over 300 years of history is used. By incorporating plant leaves into the paper, it reflects the natural expression as it is. The thin washi also used in shoji screens allows soft light to pass through, highlighting the beauty of the material itself.
