We’ve captured the multi-colored palette characteristic of Fair Isle using five different types of yarn, including a single strand dyed in multiple colors. The colorful patterns created by the overlapping yarns and shifting hues are said to have originated as a way to brighten the island’s long, dark winters. Although Fair Isle knitting is often used for accessories such as hats and mittens due to its intricate patterns, this collection also features a versatile item that doubles as both arm warmers and leg warmers.
