For this piece, design data from Shibuya Font*², inspired by the image of stones gently rolling along, is expressed through three-dimensional towel fabric, creating a lively surface that feels as if it might begin moving at any moment. The charm of the cycle series lies in its one-of-a-kind expressions born from unexpected encounters. This haori brings together elements of chance and movement, resulting in a piece that feels vibrant and uplifting. While the pattern is lively and colorful, the base color is a calm beige, allowing for versatile coordination depending on your choice of obi. This yukata is dyed using “chusen” dyeing, a traditional Japanese technique where dye is poured from above and absorbed through the fabric. This method ensures even coloring on both sides and produces subtle nuances such as gentle blurs and movement, giving each piece a unique character.
