日本の三大うちわの一つである京うちわの別名、「都うちわ」。なかでも、千鳥の形をした柄が印象的なうちわです。
江戸時代から続く技法を受け継ぎ、竹を割き、一本一本並べて形づくっていきます。
身近な素材から生まれる、ものづくりの原点を感じさせる一品となっています。

和紙には、300年以上の歴史を持つ名尾手すき和紙を使用。楮ではなく、自家栽培の梶の木を原料とし、長い繊維が絡み合うことで、薄くても丈夫に仕上がっています。障子にも使われている薄手の和紙は、やわらかく通る光が、素材そのものの美しさを引き立てます。あおぐだけでなく、飾ることで空間に涼やかな趣とやすらぎをもたらします。

One of the three major Japanese fans, the Kyoto fan, is also known as the "Miyako fan." Among them, the handle shaped like a plover is particularly impressive.
Inheriting techniques that have continued since the Edo period, bamboo is split and arranged one by one to form the shape.
It is a piece that makes you feel the origin of craftsmanship born from familiar materials.

For the Japanese paper, Nao hand-made paper with over 300 years of history is used. Instead of mulberry, it is made from home-grown Broussonetia kazinoki, and the long fibers intertwine to make it thin yet strong. The thin Japanese paper, also used for shoji, allows soft light to pass through, enhancing the inherent beauty of the material. It brings a cool and calming atmosphere to a space, not just by waving it, but also by displaying it.
