熊本県の伝統工芸品「来民渋うちわ」。“民が来る”という意味から商売繁盛を願う縁起物として、古くから親しまれてきました。柿渋を塗ることで耐久性と防虫性を高め、長く使える仕様となっています。
今回、ARCHオリジナルとして制作いただいたのは、柿渋や墨の濃淡をつけた和紙を継ぎ接ぎにし、時の流れや重なりを表現した一品。さりげなくあしらった平仮名の「きものあーち」が、ARCHからの贈り物のような物語を感じさせます。

Kumamoto Prefecture's traditional craft, the "Kutami Shibu Uchiwa". As a good-luck charm meaning 'people come,' it has long been cherished as a symbol for prosperous business. Applying persimmon tannin enhances durability and insect resistance, making it long-lasting.
This time, produced as an ARCH original, it features Japanese paper patched together with different shades of persimmon tannin and ink, expressing the passage and layering of time. The subtly incorporated hiragana "kimono a-chi" gives a storylike feeling, as if it is a gift from ARCH.
