While embodying the distinctive elegance and refinement unique to Nishijin-ori, the pattern features a deliberately simple composition centered on a soft, blurred effect. The design, which makes effective use of negative space, creates a sophisticated, mature aesthetic.
Although gold and silver threads are woven generously throughout the entire obi, their luster is never gaudy; instead, it softly shifts with every catch of the light, producing an elegant, deep shimmer.
This fukuro-obi offers the supple comfort and beautiful shape unique to Nishijin-ori. The densely woven fabric possesses just the right amount of body, maintaining a beautiful knot while exuding a dignified presence.
Another appealing feature is the ability to enjoy different expressions by reversing the obi to reveal contrasting colors on the front and back. Wear it chicly for days when you want a calm, dignified look, or elegantly for festive occasions.
