透明感のある上品な輝きをテーマにした西陣織の帯です。
織の中には、控えめに煌めくスパンコールをあしらい、立体感のある豊かな表情を演出。華やかさを備えながらも、決して主張しすぎることなく、振袖の美しさを引き立てます。
染めは京都引き染めによるもの。丁寧に重ね染めすることで生まれる、どこかやわらかく穏やかな色合いが、帯全体に優しい印象を添えています。
また、経糸には彩り豊かな色糸を使用。振袖ならではの変わり結びでは裏側からさりげなく覗き、後ろ姿にまで遊び心と美しさを宿します。
華やかな晴れの日には変わり結びで、その後もお太鼓結びで、装いに合わせて表情を変えながら、成人式だけでなく、その先の人生にも寄り添い続ける一本です。
「lucency」という名には、時を重ねても色褪せることのない、澄んだ美しさと品格への想いを込めました。

A piece that radiates a soft glow and accompanies you through life’s milestones.
This Nishijin-ori obi is designed around the theme of a translucent, elegant luster.
Subtle sequins are woven into the fabric, creating a rich, three-dimensional texture. While exuding a sense of glamour, it never overpowers, instead enhancing the beauty of the furisode.
The dyeing is done using the Kyoto-style “hikizome” technique. The soft, gentle hues—born from meticulous layered dyeing—lend a gentle impression to the entire obi.
Additionally, richly colored threads are used for the warp. When tied in the unique knots characteristic of the furisode, these threads peek out subtly from the reverse side, infusing even the back view with a sense of playfulness and beauty.
Wear it in a decorative knot for festive occasions, and later in an otaiko knot; this obi adapts its look to your ensemble, accompanying you not only through your Coming-of-Age Ceremony but throughout the rest of your life.
The name “lucency” embodies our aspiration for a clear beauty and elegance that never fades, even with the passage of time.
