「舟旅」という名には、制作の過程そのものを慈しむ想いが込められています。
伝統的な手染め技法を用いながら、自然の色彩や質感、光や水の気配を思わせる表現を探求。臈纈染め・抜染・顔料によるシルクスクリーンなど、多様な技法を重ねながら、偶発的に生まれる表情と緻密な工程を交差させ、再現性のない美しさを生み出しています。

While monochrome, the sumi ink possesses a depth that cannot be fully expressed with a single color, exuding a quiet presence.

【Funatabi Atelier】
Funatabi Atelier is a clothing label specializing in hand-dyed garments, run by dyer Motoko Oki.

The name "Funatabi" (boat journey) reflects a deep appreciation for the creative process itself.

Using traditional hand-dyeing techniques, they explore expressions that evoke the colors and textures of nature, as well as the presence of light and water. By combining diverse techniques such as batik, discharge dyeing, and pigment-based silkscreen printing, they create a beauty that cannot be replicated, by interweaving spontaneously born expressions with meticulous processes.
