花びら染めのゆかたです。
花びらの儚さや生命力を象徴的に表現し、繊細でありながら力強い自然の姿を、手染めによる衣のレーベル【Funatabi Atelier】によって、多層的な美しさで描き出しました。
植物や花びらを用い、その色を布に染み込ませることで、花の種類や状態によって一点ごとに異なる表情が生まれます。個体差も含めてお楽しみください。
通常麻のゆかたにはラミーの生地が用いられることが多いですが、今回リネンを用いることで、柔らかな落ち感とマットな風合いで落ち着いた印象を実現しています。

【植物染 / Botanical dye】
バラや紅花など通年手に入る植物に加え、その季節ならではの花々を使用。ログウッドや蘇芳（すおう）、玉ねぎの皮など草木染めの素材も組み合わせながら、色味を丁寧に調整しています。

「舟旅」という名には、制作の過程そのものを慈しむ想いが込められています。
伝統的な手染め技法を用いながら、自然の色彩や質感、光や水の気配を思わせる表現を探求。臈纈染め・抜染・顔料によるシルクスクリーンなど、多様な技法を重ねながら、偶発的に生まれる表情と緻密な工程を交差させ、再現性のない美しさを生み出しています。

This is a yukata dyed with flower petals.
The ephemeral nature and vitality of flower petals are symbolically expressed, and the delicate yet powerful image of nature is depicted with multi-layered beauty by the hand-dyed clothing label [Funatabi Atelier].
By using plants and flower petals and allowing their colors to permeate the fabric, each piece has a different expression depending on the type and condition of the flower. Please enjoy the individual differences.
While ramie fabric is often used for linen yukata, this one uses linen, achieving a soft drape and a matte texture for a calm impression.

【Botanical Dye】
In addition to plants available year-round such as roses and safflower, seasonal flowers are used. The colors are carefully adjusted by combining them with natural dyeing materials such as logwood, sappanwood, and onion skins.

【Funatabi Atelier】
Funatabi Atelier is a label of hand-dyed clothing run by dyer Motoko Oki.
The name "Funatabi" (boat journey) embodies a cherished appreciation for the creative process itself.
Using traditional hand-dyeing techniques, the label explores expressions that evoke the colors and textures of nature, as well as the presence of light and water. By layering diverse techniques such as batik, discharge dyeing, and pigment-based silkscreen printing, the label intertwines serendipitously created expressions with meticulous processes to produce a beauty that cannot be replicated.
