Maintenance
-About Kimono Care and Alterations-
We will guide you through how to care for your kimono or haori at home,
as well as the care services available at KIMONO ARCH stores.
Care / Maintenance
Kimono Cleaning
A dry cleaning process specially designed for kimono.
It removes recent oil stains and general dirt, particularly around the collar and cuffs, while preserving the fabric’s natural texture and beauty.
Sweat Removal
This treatment removes water-based stains such as perspiration.
As sweat components may oxidize over time and cause yellowing, we recommend adding Sweat Removal to your Kyo-arai cleaning when you have perspired while wearing your kimono.
Ozone Wash
A gentle full wash specially for yukata, using ozone-infused water that is kind to the skin. Its deodorizing, sterilizing,
and bleaching effects help keep your yukata fresh and clean, so you can enjoy it comfortably again next summer.
Cuff & Collar Care
This service focuses on the collar and cuffs, where makeup and sebum stains tend to accumulate. For the best results, please bring in your kimono as soon as possible after wearing it.
Protective Coating
A finishing treatment that provides water-repellent, oil-resistant, insect-repellent, and antibacterial protection.
It helps safeguard your kimono, obi, nagajuban, and accessories from rain, water, and stains—without compromising the natural texture and breathability of silk.
