インド・ベンガル地方に300年受け継がれてきた極めて精緻な手織りの生地、ジャムダニ織りを羽織に仕立てました。

綿花の故郷・インド。「わた」そのものの表情が目に見えるほど糸撚りの甘い、手紡ぎの綿糸を細番手で織り上げられ、その手触りは綿とは思えないほど、とろけるようです。

生地はほのかに透け、手刺繍を施したかのように、柄の糸が一本一本浮かび上がって見えます。
配色もシンプルで肌なじみがいいので、季節を問わず、日常のコーディネートに合わせていただけます。ジャムダニ織は、花、葉っぱ、鳥、動物など自然由来のモチーフが多く使われることも特徴的です。
今回KIMONO ARCHでも、25AW collectionのテーマである「木」をモチーフに選びました。

インドの気候や風土から生まれた素材そのものを、見た目と触り心地で感じられる羽織です。

A haori made from Jamdani, an extremely delicate handwoven textile that has been passed down for over 300 years in the Bengal region of India.

India is the homeland of cotton. The fabric is woven from hand-spun cotton yarn with a very gentle twist, so soft that the character of the cotton itself is almost visible. Despite being cotton, it has a meltingly smooth texture.

The fabric has a subtle transparency, and the pattern threads appear to float one by one, as if they were hand-embroidered. The simple color palette blends naturally with the skin, making it easy to coordinate for everyday wear throughout the seasons. Jamdani weaving is also known for motifs inspired by nature, such as flowers, leaves, birds, and animals.

For this piece, KIMONO ARCH selected “tree” as the motif, reflecting the theme of the 25AW collection.

This haori allows you to experience both visually and through touch the material born from the climate and landscape of India.
