ラムウールを使用したホームスパンのきものです。
糸一本一本をグラデーションで染め分けることで、チェック柄が溶け合うような繊細で奥行きのある表情を生み出しました。ラムウールならではのとろけるような柔らかさが身体を優しく包み込み、細やかに表現されたチェック柄と相まって、着る人の心まであたためてくれる一着です。


Homespun series
ジャケットなどに用いられるツイード生地を使用したきものと、きものに合わせるコート「道中着」を製作。
ホームスパンとは、英国生まれの毛織物で、「home（家）」で「spun（紡ぐ）」ことに由来します。もともと羊毛農家が自家用に紡ぎ織ったのが始まりで、厳選した羊毛を手で染め、手で紡ぎ、手織りでゆっくりと仕上げた生地は、柔らかくあたたかみのある風合いが特徴です。
現在では、手しごとの風合いを大切にしたツイードの一種として発展し、日本でも岩手や山形など、羊の飼育が盛んな土地に根づいた産業として受け継がれています。ARCHが大切にする“その土地ならではの手しごと”の魅力に光を当て、世界を見渡す視点を一枚のきものに宿しています。

This kimono is made from lambswool homespun, where each thread is hand-dyed in gradient tones to create a delicate, blended check pattern with depth and subtlety. The lambswool’s signature soft, melting texture gently wraps the body, and combined with the finely detailed checks, it warms both body and spirit.

Homespun Series
This collection features kimonos crafted from tweed fabrics traditionally used in jackets, along with matching dochu-gi coats. Homespun, originating in Britain, means “spun at home,” when shepherds would hand-spin and weave wool for personal use. These fabrics are hand-dyed, hand-spun, and slowly handwoven, resulting in a soft, warm, and textured feel. In Japan, the tradition continues in regions like Iwate and Yamagata, where sheep farming is established. ARCH celebrates the unique handcrafts of these regions, giving each kimono a story and character that reflects its place of origin.
