ホームスパンの手織りの風合いを守り続けているからこそ、糸自体にデザイン性をもたせた特殊な糸による織物づくりが叶いました。数センチ単位で多色染めを施した糸には、一本一本にまで人の手が加えられています。こうした糸で織り上げることで、ホームスパンならではの奥行きある表情が生まれました。
コーディネート次第で日常にも特別なシーンにも馴染みますので、幅広いシーンでご着用いただけます。

Homespun series
ジャケットなどに用いられるツイード生地を使用したきものと、きものに合わせるコート「道中着」を製作。
ホームスパンとは、英国生まれの毛織物で、「home（家）」で「spun（紡ぐ）」ことに由来します。もともと羊毛農家が自家用に紡ぎ織ったのが始まりで、厳選した羊毛を手で染め、手で紡ぎ、手織りでゆっくりと仕上げた生地は、柔らかくあたたかみのある風合いが特徴です。
現在では、手しごとの風合いを大切にしたツイードの一種として発展し、日本でも岩手や山形など、羊の飼育が盛んな土地に根づいた産業として受け継がれています。ARCHが大切にする“その土地ならではの手しごと”の魅力に光を当て、世界を見渡す視点を一枚のきものに宿しています。

This kimono is crafted from high-quality homespun tweed, exuding the warmth of handmade work. By preserving the natural texture of handwoven homespun, we can use specially dyed and hand-processed yarns that carry design even in each thread. Each yarn is dyed in multiple colors over just a few centimeters, giving the fabric depth and richness unique to homespun. Depending on how it’s styled, it works beautifully for both everyday wear and special occasions.

Homespun Series
This series features kimonos made from tweed fabrics often used in jackets, along with matching dochu-gi coats. Homespun originated in Britain, from the idea of “spinning at home,” when shepherds would spin and weave wool for household use. The hand-dyed, hand-spun, and slowly handwoven fabrics are soft, warm, and full of texture. Today, homespun tweed has evolved into a cherished textile in regions like Iwate and Yamagata, where sheep farming is traditional. ARCH celebrates these local, handcraft traditions by bringing their unique character into each kimono.
