大胆なチェック柄と無地感のツイードを組み合わせることで、ポップで個性的なきものに。「片身替わり」と呼ばれる2柄で切り替えた仕立て方です。
スーツなどにも使用され、きちんとした印象を与えるチェック柄も、大きなサイズ感と配色で華やかな印象を与えてくれます。チェック生地の方は、1887年より高品質なウール生地を作り続けた「三星ウール」の生地を使用しており、トラディショナルな印象を与えます。
無地はシルクウールのツイード生地を使用。金糸が織り込まれており、ウールの落ち着きに加え上品な質感をプラスしてくれる組み合わせです。

This “Memorable Kimono” was created with the wish: “A special garment for a special day.”

By combining a bold check pattern with solid tweed, this kimono achieves a playful yet distinctive look. It is tailored in a style known as katamigawari, where two different fabrics are divided and joined into a single garment.

Check patterns are often used in suits and convey a refined impression, but here the large scale and vibrant color combination create a lively and eye-catching design. The checked fabric is made by Mitsuboshi Wool, a textile maker that has been producing high-quality wool fabrics since 1887, giving the garment a touch of classic tradition.

The solid side uses a silk-wool tweed woven with subtle gold threads. This adds a gentle sheen and elegance, balancing the calm texture of wool with a refined, sophisticated feel.
