山形県の老舗ニットメーカー「米冨繊維」と着物にも合わせられるベストをつくりました。
日本のトラディショナルなベストである”ちゃんちゃんこ”から着装を得ており、内ポケットがついていて一枚で羽織るだけで便利なアイテムです。サイドが開いているため、身幅を調節でき、どんな帯結びにも対応できます。

バスケットのようなざっくりとした編み地のため、真夏以外の３シーズンでお楽しみいただけます。ニットならではの毛足の長い糸や、ポコポコとした糸の表情が楽しめる生地感となっています。

フロントについている紐は残糸を使用し編まれたレースを使用して飾り紐を、サイドについている紐は京都で組んでおり、帯締をイメージしています。和洋兼用でご着用ください。

Knitted Vest – Collaboration with Yonetomi Fibers, Yamagata

We created this versatile knitted vest in collaboration with the long-established Yamagata knit manufacturer Yonetomi Fibers, designed to be worn with both kimono and Western outfits. Its design draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese vest, “chanchanko”, featuring inner pockets for convenience—simply wearing it over your outfit makes it functional and stylish.

The open sides allow for adjustable width, making it compatible with any obi style. The basket-weave-inspired knit is cozy and textured, showcasing the playful variations of long-haired and nubby yarns, and can be enjoyed across three seasons (spring, autumn, and winter).

The front ties are made from lace crafted from leftover yarn, while the side ties are handwoven in Kyoto, inspired by traditional obi cords. This vest can be worn with both kimono and Western attire, offering a harmonious fusion of styles.
