久留米絣の原点に着想を得てつくり上げた、繊細な色の変化が魅力の一着です。
久留米絣は、江戸時代に一人の少女・井上伝が、古着に現れた色の変化に気づいたことをきっかけに生まれたといわれています。その原点にある「色の変化」に着目し、染め分けによる色の違いが際立つ絣糸を用いて、新たな表現を追求しました。
絣糸を整経する際に、少しずつずらすことで、色の濃淡が織りの中で重なり合い、奥行きのある表情が生まれます。シンプルな構成でありながら、計算だけではつくりきれない偶然性が加わり、見るほどに表情の変化を感じられる一着に仕上げました。
さらに、緯糸にはモール糸を用い、冬の装いに取り入れたくなるようなふわふわとした毛羽感を加えました。絣の素朴な美しさに、やわらかな温もりを添えています。

Inspired by the origins of Kurume Kasuri, this garment captivates with its delicate color variations.
It is said that Kurume Kasuri originated in the Edo period when a young girl named Den Inoue noticed color variations in old clothing. Focusing on this “color variation”—the very essence of the craft—we pursued a new form of expression using kasuri yarns whose distinct colors, created through differential dyeing, stand out prominently.
By slightly shifting the kasuri yarns during warping, shades of color overlap within the weave, creating a sense of depth. While the design is simple, it incorporates an element of serendipity that cannot be achieved through calculation alone, resulting in a garment whose nuances reveal themselves the more you look at it.
Furthermore, we used mohair yarn for the weft, adding a fluffy, fuzzy texture that makes you want to incorporate it into your winter wardrobe. This adds a soft warmth to the kasuri’s rustic beauty.
